Pauline Cass, Friends of Fogg Dam
Pauline has been a member of Friends of Fogg Dam since 2015 and is the current president of the group. Pauline is also a fire fighter and committee member of the Humpty Doo Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade, has been a wildlife carer since the age of 11 and a long-term member of and mentor for Wildcare NT. Pauline self-funds a community office in Humpty Doo that provides information to local residents regarding weed and water management and advertises relevant action programs.
Last year she ran a series of Gamba Grass information nights in the Darwin rural area for an organisation called Gamba Grass Roots in conjunction with the NT Weed Management Branch. Pauline also provides information to the community from local fire brigades regarding firebreaks and keeping properties safe and recruits volunteers to assist in firefighting efforts in the region. As President of Friends of Fogg Dam, Pauline participates in developing future plans and helps organize and participates in FOFD events and monthly working bees that include weeding, cleaning interpretive and information signage and other maintenance at Fogg Dam
