Milton Landcare hero Julie Holstegge is involved in a range of landcare and community activities, volunteering thousands of hours of her time to support her local community and environment.

Julie shares her passion for native gardening at the local primary schools, educates and supporting landholders to undertake weed control and volunteers on farms to support landholders to revegetate cleared farming landscapes, transforming ‘kikuyu drains & paddocks‘ into biodiversity hotspots.

Julie established her own on-farm nursery at Milkwood Farm, leading a team of volunteers to collect seed and growing thousands of tube stock to put back into local projects. As a local landcare champion, Julie has successfully supported local farmers to foster an engaged, productive and sustainable farming community.
