An environmentalist and local farmer, Paul has either been a co-ordinator or secretary of the Friends of Randalls Bay (FORB) since its inception in 1997. He is tenacious and committed and works collegially with the local Huon Valley Council and the Parks and Wildlife Service. Paul’s ability to helping others to gain understanding of the need to preserve and conserve, led to the negotiated acquisition of land, and from a neighbour, to Private Forest Reserves in 2001-2004. This 115 hectare land parcel, the Echo Sugarloaf Reserve, with grants monies and many hard labour hours led by Paul now has a nature reserve walking track to be enjoyed for the health and recreational benefit of all.
