Soil First Tasmania (SFT) is a volunteer organisation led by farmers, located mostly in the North West of Tasmania. They have a strong focus on soil-focused farming and regenerative agricultural practices. Inspired by growers worldwide, the group is mostly looking at cover crops and helping each other and other farmers introduce cover crops into intensive agricultural systems. They have regular field days and events where guest speakers from Australia and elsewhere share knowledge and experiences. Their membership is growing and they have a highly engaged social media audience.
