Tamar NRM

Tamar NRM Inc is a not-for-profit natural resource management organisation working within the Tamar valley. Their mission is to “assist the Tamar Valley Community to manage its natural resources through practical solutions and partnerships”. Tamar NRM has a staff of two, volunteer Management Committee of between 11-13, current membership of 68 and a pool of volunteers.

Some of the key partnerships include: City of Launceston (CoL), West Tamar (WTC) and George Town (GTC) Councils; the community; local Landcare and Friends of groups; Landcare Tasmania; famers; schools; Parks and Wildlife Service (PWS); Crown Lands; Tasmanian Fire Service (TFS); Department of Education; Queen Victoria Museum (QVMAG); Conservation Volunteers Australia (CVA); agricultural and sustainability focused businesses; University of Tasmania (UTAS); and other not-for-profit organisations.
