Seymour Community Action Group Inc. is a local Community Group that brings together community members of all ages from the Seymour area.  Their site is the “Seymour Swamp” which is a freshwater marsh adjacent to an estuary comprising a protected saltwater wetland and the large tidal Templestowe Lagoon fed by seven tributaries, the main one being Doctors Creek. This group’s projects involve restoration of endemic native vegetation, enhancement of habitat, improvements to recreational and aesthetic values, and the restoration of land values such that the area can be considered for reclassification to Seymour Conservation Area.  This group aims to bring a sense of pride to the local community.
