Todd Dudley

Todd has been involved in Landcare activities in Tasmania since 1991. Todd has been a lifelong bush regenerator/ecological restoration practitioner and works in the field because he loves the Australian bush and is passionate about the protection, maintenance and ecological restoration of our unique and irreplaceable natural heritage. Todd’s focus expanded from maintaining native bushland reserves located in relatively urban to peri urban settings to a more landscape focused approach as landscape connectivity became a more prominent consideration in conservation practice and planning.

He was responsible for the establishment of both the North East Bioregional Network and the North East Tasmania Land Trust and has facilitated the protection of land and the undertaking of landscape scale restoration projects. Todd has become increasingly interested in the philosophy and ethics of caring for nature and the holistic co benefits undertaking ecological restoration can deliver. Todd while maintaining a strong focus on the importance of biodiversity conservation has increasingly sought to promote and maximise the economic and social benefits of well planned on ground conservation projects.
