Quandamooka Country Discovery Tour
Travelling across Quandamooka (Moreton Bay) and led by a Quandamooka guide, sacred ancient stories will come alive. See buwangan (dolphin), mibaral (turtle) and learn about the relationship the Quandamooka People have with these majestic animals. Understand how the geographical features around you came to be through traditional stories about the creation of Quandamooka Country and how Quandamooka People are taking a lead role in the management of Quandamooka Country. The tour includes a guided walk around the rocky headland on the shoreline of the bay at Goompi (Dunwich) identifying bush tucker plants, learning about medicinal bush plants, trees and ochre. There will also be on-water activities and Quandamooka delivered catering incorporating native plant sourced from Minjerribah.
Cost: $90 per person (includes bus and ferry transport, morning tea, lunch, water, snacks and cultural guides).

This field trip will depart from Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre at 8.00am on Wednesday, 10 October 2018.
