PARTNERS IN PARADISE: Leveraging scarce funds for real outcomes
This journey through the hinterland of the idyllic Noosa Biosphere will give you a taste of the extraordinary biodiversity and soil conservation outcomes achieved through the skilful leveraging of funds by Noosa Landcare. You will hear and see how one of Australia’s most successful and long-lived Landcare groups that employs 42 staff has encouraged investment from tourism, philanthropic trusts, landholders, local businesses, Noosa Biosphere and a variety of government agencies to restore habitat for endangered species such as the Coxen’s Fig Parrot and Koala and to conserve soil through science enabling social action.
Cost: $40 per person (includes transport, morning tea, lunch, water and snacks)

The Noosa field trip will depart from Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre at 7.00am on Wednesday, 10 October 2018.
