This registration is for you if you are attending the conference as part of your salaried employment, and your conference costs is being paid for by your employer. This includes individuals employed by a federal, state or local government organisations, natural resource management or other government agencies, an industry body or consultant.
Community Delegate
You are entitled to a lower registration price as a “Community” delegate. If you are a part-time employee or volunteer and you are not attending as part of your salaried employment, please register as a Community delegate.

The Welcome Reception event opens the 2022 National Landcare Conference with a smoking ceremony and special event book launch. The reception will be held on Tuesday 23 August from 5.30pm to 7pm at the International Convention Centre, Darling Harbour Sydney. If you plan to attend, please RSVP when you register. Dress code is smart casual.

The 2022 National Landcare Awards Gala Dinner will be held on Wednesday 24 August at the International Convention Centre, Darling Harbour Sydney. Pre-dinner drinks will commence at 6.30pm with dinner from at 7pm to 11pm. Dress code is cocktail, men are not required to wear a tie.

Delegates can experience the diversity of landcare in the Greater Sydney region with the 2022 National Landcare Conference Field Trip Program. From sustainable farming to natural resource management projects, the field trips are an opportunity for landcare groups and volunteers to showcase the conservation and changing land use in the Greater Sydney region.
Welcome Reception
The Welcome Reception event opens the 2022 National Landcare Conference with a smoking ceremony and special event book launch. WEDNESDAY 24 AUGUST
Conference Day 2
Landcare champion Costa Georgiadis will MC the conference sessions including the keynote address from Professor Mark Howden, Director of the Institute for Climate, Energy & Disaster Solutions at The Australian National University. Plenary speakers include the Landcare Back to the Future Panel and the Landcare Farming Panel. There are 30 breakout sessions across six streams including: Landcare Farming and Emerging Environmental Markets, Environment and Climate Change, Community Partnerships in Action, Landcare Impact, Urban Landcare and First Nations.
National Landcare Awards Gala Dinner
Costa will host this very special event to recognise the diversity of landcare across Australia, and celebrate the achievements of the 61 Landcare Awards nominees.
The award nominees were winners in the 2021 State and Territory Landcare Program, and are now finalists for the 2022 National Landcare Awards. A winner will be announced for the following categories:
- Australian Government Individual Landcarer Award
- Australian Government Partnerships for Landcare Award
- Australian Government Landcare Farming Award
- Coastcare Award
- ACM Landcare Community Group Award
- Woolworths Junior Landcare Team Award
- KPMG Indigenous Land Management Award

The winners of the Bob Hawke Landcare Award and the General Jeffery Soil Health Award will also be announced.

THURSDAY 25 AUGUST
Conference Day 3
The final day of the conference will include plenary speakers on the Emerging Environmental Markets for Landcare Panel and Cultural Land Management Panel, with Victor Steffensen making a plenary presentation. There are 30 breakout sessions across six streams including: Landcare Farming and Emerging Environmental Markets, Environment and Climate Change, Community Partnerships in Action, Landcare Impact, Urban Landcare and First Nations.

FIELD TRIPS
Field Trips will be held on Tuesday 23 August 2022
Delegates can experience the diversity of landcare in the Greater Sydney region with the 2022 National Landcare Conference Field Trip Program. The field trip program has been developed with the generous support of the Field Trip Committee, made up of representatives from Garguree Swampcare Greater Sydney Landcare Network, Hawkesbury-Nepean Landcare Network, Community Environment Network, Local Land Services, North Sydney Council, Northern Beaches Council, Hornsby Shire Council, Sutherland Shire Council and Landcare Australia.
