SAVING OUR SPECIES
Saving our Species (SoS) is one of the biggest conservation commitments ever undertaken in NSW. It is a movement involving volunteers, scientists, businesses, community groups and the NSW Government, all coming together to secure the future of Australia’s unique plants and animals.
$175 million over 10 years (2016 – 2026) has been invested into SoS and has established the NSW Government as a national leader in threatened species conservation.
The main objectives of SoS are to increase the number of threatened species that are secure in the wild in NSW for 100 years, and control the key threats facing them.
