Motivated by the loss of native vegetation in his youth, he has spent 40 years propagating and planting over 100,000 native trees locally, including rare species. A dedicated educator, Ian is the district’s trusted expert on native plant care, with his guidance contributing to the establishment of hundreds of thousands of plants.
